Abstract

‘Hei-G’ is a new tomato cultivar originating from the cross of two inbred lines, the maternal plant TKUI-3 separated from ‘Kame’ in 2007, and the paternal plant AL-1 developed by pedigree breeding. The new cultivar was registered as ‘Hei-G’ named ‘JTB026 (Jeonnam-2)’ based on characteristics and yield trials carried out in the spring of 3 years, from 2010 to 2012. ‘Hei-G’ is an indeterminate type with strong plant vigor. The fruit is round and the ripening fruit is blackish red. The average fruit weight of ‘Hei-G’ is about 43.4 g, and its marketable yield is 4,944 kg･10 a^-1. The lycopene content of ‘Hei-G’ (11.8 mg･100 g^-1) is higher than that of other tomatoes (e.g., cv. Rapido, 3.1 mg). In addition, ‘Hei-G’ is suitable for environment-friendly protected cultivation because of its resistance to powdery mildew.

‘헤이-G(Hei-G)’는 2007년 ‘카메(Kame)’에서 분리한 고정 계통(TKUI-3)을 모본으로 하고, ‘알리’에서 분리한 고정계통(AL-1)을 부본으로 인공교배하여 육성된 품종이다. 과실은 둥근 형태로 크기가 균일하며, 검붉은색(흑색)으로 광택을 띤다. 2010년부터 2012년까지 봄 재배에서 특성 검정과 생산력 검정을 거쳐 ‘JTB026(전남2호)’로 계통명을 부여하였고, ‘헤이-G’로 명명하였다. ‘헤이-G’의 초형은 무한형으로 초세가 강하고 성숙과실과 과육은 검붉은색을 띤다. 과실 평균 과중은 43.4g이며, 상품수량은 4,944kg･10a-1이다. 과실에 함유된 라이코펜 함량은 11.8mg･100g^-1으로 일반토마토(품종: 라피도, 3.1mg)에 비해 많았으며, 흰가루병에 비교적 강하여 친환경재배에 알맞은 품종이다.
